Back From The Trade Show!

Well I've been back from the Fall Quilt Market for about a week now, but I've been busying trying to get resituated and catch up having been out the studio for so long. The Fall Quilt Market was hosted in beautiful Houston, Texas at the George R. Brown Convention Center and it was a blast!

Here's a picture of the convention center and as you can tell it's huge! It's true everything really is bigger in Texas! I got to meet alot of wonderful and interesting people from around the world at the Quilt Market and was able to see all varieties of different styles and flavors that were shown there. The 2,000 mile trek over there from Florida was definately time well spent!

Launch of Palm Harbor Patterns Blog

Welcome to the launch of the Palm Harbor Patterns Blog!

Tomorrow, September 30, I will be at the It's Sew Worth It! quilt shop in sunny Sarasota, FL for the premier meeting of the Sew Worth It Bag Ladies Club. As of last week, 21 ladies have already signed up for this all-new club for handbag enthusiasts. During this event, I will be showcasing some examples of my original designs in both the Purse-O-Nalities and Sewphisti-Cat lines.

I will also be leading the group in a step-by-step presentation on construction of the SC-06, "Shelley's Bag" from my Sewphisti-Cat collection. It's a roomy bag with handy side pockets outside and lots of compartments inside. It doesn't take long to complete and there's plenty of choices on fabric combinations, etc.  I'll try to get some pictures of the girls and their projects so you can see how they do. Also, I'll get some photos of the shop as it is a wonderful place to pick up some beautiful fabrics. The ladies are very knowledgeable and always eager to assist. You'll see lots of project models on display from quilts to home dec and everything in between. And, one of the nicest features is their large classroom which is a joy to work in. Check in a couple of days and I hope to have some pictures ready. Until then, keep stitchin'!
